Over the last 8 years ArkLeisure has become the defacto segmentation system for the majority of the UK's tourism organisations. In this article we briefly review it's history and make an announcement about it's future.
The ArkLeisure segmentation tool is now 8 years old! Over this period it has evolved into a powerful segmentation tool that has helped inform strategic and tactical marketing for a wide range of tourism organisations and destinations from the UK and abroad. Since 2002 when ArkLeisure segmentation was launched for Visit Britain, many of the UK's tourism organizations have embraced it as the UK profiling tool which gives the deepest level of insight into consumer data.
Over the years not everyone has been able to take full advantage of the segmentation for marketing campaigns as people move on and there is a lot to consider when designing a campaign around specific segments. With that in mind we are compiling a white paper on getting the most out of ArkLeisure, and members of our research team will be available for in-house training sessions for our clients to refresh the knowledge on ArkLeisure and how to apply it to marketing campaigns:
